Fall 2018 Registration

Adult Rowing 
The Adult Fall Program is sweep rowing in stable 8-person or 4-person shells, for rowers with a variety of experience levels who enjoy a team atmosphere. This program will build on stroke fundamentals and knowledge of rowing to become more confident, efficient rowers. This class will focus on synchronization, timing, drills, and blade work. The coaches will work with all rowers throughout the session to offer drills/workouts and grow rowing knowledge and skills. Rowers will work on gaining a greater understanding of the rowing stroke, experience a multitude of drills, and gain a firm grasp of rowing terminology while getting a workout. Set-up and clean-up is a part of this program, this is a multi-boat class and rowers will be expected to help each other launch and rack boats at the beginning and end of row.

We off two adult sessions
Morning: 5:45 – 7:45am
Evening: 5:30 – 7:15pm

September: 4, 5, 6, 7, 17, 18, 19(R), 20, 21
October: 1, 2, 3(R) ,4, 5, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19(R)

(R) – days reserved for make-up sessions due to weather.

Youth Rowing – Middle School (Incoming 7th & 8th Graders)
The Youth Fall Program is sweep rowing in stable 8-person or 4-person shells, for rowers with a variety of experience levels who enjoy a team atmosphere. High School – Competitive Fall Season
The Competitive Fall Season requires no previous rowing experience. Our rowers will learn the rowing stroke while developing leadership skills and teamwork. Rowers will challenge themselves physically and mentally within a strong team environment. Rowers practice five or six times per week and attend several weekend regattas.

The season starts on August 29th and finishes October 31st. Practice locations are Milton High School (balcony & weight room), and Milton Yacht Club (88 Wharf St.).

First day of practice:
Varsity Girls – Tuesday, August 28th at 3:30pm
Varsity Boys and Novice Boys & Girls (new athletes) – Wednesday August 29th at 3:30pm

Practice will usually be held after school  from 3:30 to 5:30pm. This may change based on the coaches schedule and the tide or weather. Your coach will communicate practice information at the start of the season.
