Summer 2017 NRC MASTERS LEARN TO ROW Registration

Intro to Rowing is our basic introductory sweep class, which will get you on the Neponset River and learning the basics in no time. It’s perfect for people of all fitness levels and previous athletic experience! Class begins in a stable 8-person or 4-person boat in which you will become familiar with rowing terminology and the fundamentals of technique while learning to row in a fun group environment. Upon successful completion of Intro to Rowing, students can progress to Novice Sweeps. After that, if you’re interested in rowing competitively, you can try out for our Summer and Fall Masters teams.

The Summer LEARN TO ROW 2017 program will host 4 classes from June 27 to June 30 (Tuesday through Friday) from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. The practice location will be the Milton Yacht Club, 25 Wharf St, Milton, MA 02187.

Please note all registration forms must be completed by June 23, 2017. Rowers with incomplete registration forms may not be able to row until forms are completed.

Please review the following important information.

Cancellation of practice
We practice in all weather conditions except active lightning storms or other extreme weather. Because our weather changes rapidly, rowers should assume practice will be held regardless of the weather and dress appropriately, unless they are told by a member of the coaching staff that practice has been cancelled.

Refund Policy
Refunds will be given within the first two weeks due to injury, membership limits, or if a participant decides the sport is not for him/her.

All of the equipment in use has been purchased with the funds provided by the Friends of Milton Rowing through fundraising and generous donations. When the equipment (boats, oars, launch, gas, motors, trailer etc.) needs to be repaired or purchased the money comes from the Friends’ account. The continued success and longevity of the FOMC is reliant on our fundraising.
As a 501 (3) © organization, your contribution to Friends of Milton Crew is tax-deductible.

We welcome your ideas and participation!

The Friends of Milton Crew is an all-volunteer organization, and we need your help to make this team a success. Crew only works because of what you do, from organizing fundraisers to ordering uniforms to chaperoning buses to running the food tent on race day, and on and on.

There are so many different ways to help, and it is a fun way to meet other parents and learn more about your rower’s new passion.

We use email extensively for communication. These lists will only be used only for crew-related information and will never be sold. Hotmail users (and other email clients) may need to turn off junk mail detection.
