Please review the following important information

Cancellation of practice
We practice in all weather conditions except active lightning storms or other extreme weather. Because our weather changes rapidly, rowers should assume practice will be held regardless of the weather and dress appropriately, unless they are told by a member of the coaching staff that practice has been cancelled.

Neponset Rowing Club participation fee

We are hosting 2 sessions. Both sessions are open to novice and experienced rowers. They will each have two coaches depending on the enrollment: One coach for the novices (learn to row) and the other will work with the experienced rowers.

Session 1 rowers race at the Cromwell Cup on the Charles River on July 13, 2016. Session 2 will focus on getting all MHS and NRC rowers in shape for the fall season. We plan to schedule a dual race against Hingham’s Juniors Summer program.

The fee for one session is $300. The fee for two sessions is $550.

Refund Policy
Refunds will be given within the first two weeks due to injury, membership limits, or if a student decides the sport is not for him/her.

Donations
All of the equipment in use has been purchased with the funds provided by the Friends of Milton Rowing through fundraising and generous donations. When the equipment (boats, oars, launch, gas, motors, trailer etc.) needs to be repaired or purchased the money comes from the Friends’ account. The continued success and longevity of the FOMC is reliant on our fundraising. As a 501 (3) © organization, your contribution to Friends of Milton Crew is tax-deductible.

Volunteers
We welcome your ideas and participation!

The Friends of Milton Crew is an all-volunteer organization, and we need your help to make this team a success. Crew only works because of what you do, from organizing fundraisers to ordering uniforms to chaperoning buses to running the food tent on race day, and on and on.

There are so many different ways to help, and it is a fun way to meet other parents and learn more about your rower’s new passion.

Questions or curious about how you can help? Contact Mary Beth Callahan at callahanmarybeth@gmail.com.

Work party participation
Athletes, the success of your team depends on more than just showing up to practice. Your volunteered time and help with the maintenance and care of our equipment, rowing location, and our home course are essential.

Communication
We use email extensively for communication. We create lists for parents and rowers for each squad, for all rowers, and for all parents.

These lists will only be used only for crew-related information and will never be sold. Hotmail users (and other email clients) may need to turn off junk mail detection.
